Elder Abuse: Recognizing and Reporting

Once our parents get old, it is only reasonable to take care of them. Putting them inside a nursery home is always an option, as they will receive much needed care and attention they need and deserve. Unfortunately, many elderly were neglected and abused (physically, verbally, sexually) lately. This has become a growing concern.   Stats: 1 in every 14 elders are being neglected or abused in the US alone. This is a serious problem, one that requires special and immediate attention. Just imagine if it was your parent who was abused or neglected inside the nursery home. Would you do something about it? Start by recognizing the problem Has it been a while since you last visited your loved one inside a nursery home? How about you pay them a visit and see how he/she is doing.
